Heel Pain/Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis (PLAN-turfas-e-I-tis) is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It involves inflammation of a thick band of tissue that runs across the sole of the foot and connects the heel bone to the toes (plantar fascia).
Plantar fasciitis generally causes throbbing pain that begins with the first few steps in the morning. When you get up and move around, the pain normally subsides, but it may return after long periods of standing or when you get up from sitting. (Mayo Clinic)
In terms of Chinese medicine, we can see this dysfunction as a stagnation of blood in the corresponding meridians. Which can be interpreted as microtears in the corresponding tissues.

Throughout my career I have understood the most important thing – Acupuncture should never be painful or uncomfortable for my patients. In the clinic, only the highest quality and disposable needles are used. They do not cause any unpleasant sensations.
I invite you to visit my clinic in one of three locations to experience my approach to Acupuncture.
